QUETTA: At least two alleged terrorists, two women and a child were killed in a joint operation carried out by police and Frontier Constabulary in Quetta’s Kharotabad area early morning, SAMAA reports Thursday.

The exchange of fire with militants also left 16 security men injured when the law enforcers raided a house in Kharotabad neighborhood of Quetta on a tip off that some militants were hiding there.

DIG operation Fayyaz Sunbal said that two women and a child died when hand grenades hurled by militants landed on a house in the area.

Two militants, he said, were killed in retaliation by the police and FC personnel.Moreover, militants blew themselves up to avoid arrest during the shootout. The explosion is also said to have killed members of the militants’ families.

Meanwhile, two people were killed on the outskirts of Quetta during a clashed between two armed groups.
